Registration Deadline:
Membership registration to Business Professionals of America for each fiscal year is due between September 1 and February 15 of the school year.
Application for exception to this deadline may be made to the National Center by local chapters.
Who May Apply:
In the following cases, chapters may receive an exception to the policy of the February 15 deadline:
- Local advisor error (i.e., member can verify that dues were paid prior to February 15 deadline)
- Other extenuating circumstances
Upon receipt of request for exception, each particular situation will be reviewed by the National Staff for approval.
Proceedure:
At least thirty (30) days prior to the start of the National Leadership Conference, the local chapter must submit a request for exception to the February 15 membership deadline. The request must include the following:
- A $100 non-refundable processing fee
- Completed chapter membership rosters to replace lost or missing rosters, along with appropriate dues
payment
- A written request from the advisor, indicating the reason for late payment of dues
- State advisor approval
EXCEPTIONS:
A chapter may not request an exception for two consecutive years, unless the person serving as advisor is not the same person who requested an exception the previous year. |
